Passport Office, Tiruchirappalli started functioning from 23rd March 1983. It caters to eight districts viz Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Nagappattinam, Perambalur, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Ariyalur and Thiruvarur. The office is located at W.B. Road,Water Tank Building, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu-620008.

The current opening time of appointments is 2:30 PM. Online Payment has been made mandatory for booking appointments at Passport Seva Kendra(s) under this Passport Office. Click here for details. Applicants from the eight central districts of Tamilnadu under the jurisdiction of Passport office Trichy may choose to submit their applications at any of the Passport Seva Kendras (Thanjavur or Trichy) as per their convenience and availability of appointment. Categories of Applicants allowed as “Walk-In with ARN”: From 18th August 2014 Following mentioned categories of applicants are allowed as “Walk-in Applicants”. Applicants falling under these categories need to register Online, fill in the online application form and generate Application Reference Number (ARN) at least one day in advance before visiting the PSK. Such applicants may visit the PSK with required set of documents and a copy of printed ARN sheet Physically challenged persons Senior citizens above 65 years and their spouse. All other categories of applications will be accepted only WITH APPOINTMENT. All Tatkaal applicants are requested to first visit RPO Office at Marakadai for preliminary screening of their documents.
